Welcome to the Sandburg Elementary School Foundation Website!

Help support our school by donating to the Foundation. We are a non-profit fundraising organization allocating all our funds to support the children of Sandburg Elementary School. Please make a tax-deductible donation to the Sandburg Foundation to support ongoing programs and to assist with new enrichment projects. It is only with your help and generosity that we can provide programs that would otherwise not be available to our students. JOG-A-THON 2010!

On April 9th, the Sandburg Foundation is organizing a Jog-a-thon that will take place during school hours. The money raised will be used to continue to support and staff the school’s library and computer lab. This year, we also want to raise enough money to pay for a physical education instructor that the school currently does not have. We need to raise $24,000 (or approximately $30 per student) to achieve this goal.

To see how you can contribute, please take a moment to read the Jog-a-thon donor letter and help support our wonderful school. You can complete a pledge form or click on the "donate" button above and make a secure contribution using any major credit card. Please note “Jog-a-thon” in the memo and indicate your child’s name and teacher. Don’t forget to email grandparents, family and friends! Thank you in advance for your support.

Who We Are

The Sandburg Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing additional financial support and programs to Sandburg Elementary School. Our mission is to provide a well-rounded educational experience for our students by raising funds to improve school site facilities and provide academic enrichment opportunities. What We Do

We raise money to give to the school in support of academic excellence and school enhancement. The Foundation hosts programs throughout the school year to allow our school to earn money. The Foundation is not in competition with the PTA. In fact, it was formed to allow us access to additional unrestricted funds to assist our school. By charter, the PTA is limited to fund-raising in order to support its own programs.

2009-2010 Fundraising Goals

This school year the Sandburg Foundation has determined that its fundraising efforts will be three-fold. We sat down with the Principal and two teachers to determine the needs for the school. It was decided that we will focus our fundraising to add more technology to the school, in terms of computers and smart boards, we will help purchase new Instructional Libraries for the classrooms in each grade level and we will raise money for guest speakers come to present to our students. We need your help to make this happen.
